The U.S. Air Force has awarded Bloomfield aerospace manufacturer Kaman Corp. a $28.9 million contract modification for bomb fuzes, the company announced.
Kaman said the order of Joint Programmable Fuzes extends its largest single program through 2016, building its backlog to $131 million.
The order increases the value of the company’s contract option with the Air Force to $90 million.
Kaman manufactures the fuses at its Middletown facility and in Florida.
