Bloomfield aerospace and engineered parts manufacturer Kaman Corp. has appointed James Coogan to serve as chief financial officer, replacing Robert Starr.
In a statement released Thursday, company officials said Coogan, who will also serve as senior vice president, will take over the new roles immediately.
Starr will continue on with the firm as executive vice president until July 2021, aiding in the transition.
Coogan joined Kaman in 2008 as manager of external reporting and SEC compliance. He also served as the company’s vice president of investor relations and assistant vice president of SEC compliance and external reporting.
As CFO, Coogan will oversee financial reporting, accounting, tax, treasury, risk management and financial planning and analysis. He will also continue to oversee Kaman’s investor relations and corporate development functions.
