Bloomfield aeroparts maker Kaman Corp. says a German construction-logging company has ordered another of its K-MAX medium-to-heavylift helicopters.
Rotex Helicopter AG, of Balzers Liechtenstein, has operated K-MAX’s in its fleet for 22 years, amassing more than 45,000 flight hours with the single-seat workhorse, officials said Monday.

Neither party disclosed the sale price or other terms for the aircraft to be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Kaman Aerospace division in recent years, bowing to customer demand, revived K-MAX production and has since amassed 12 orders, mostly from operators in Asia and Europe, the company said.
The K-MAX, drone versions of which the U.S. Marines operate, can lift up to 6,000 pounds, or 2,722 kilograms.
