Kaman Aerospace juggles its leadership

Kaman Aerospace has announced a management shakeup at the Bloomfield aircraft-components manufacturer.

Kaman Composites, a new operating group within Kaman Aerospace, is being run by James Larwood, 51, former president of Kaman’s Precision Products Division.

John Kornegay takes over as president of Kaman Precision Products.

Kornegay previously was president of the specialty bearings division, which is now run by Robert Paterson, 52, who was bearings vice president.

Richard Thorley, previously CEO of Kaman’s Brookhouse Holdings composite structures design unit, was named to the newly created post of strategy and development director. Thorley, 49, will remain based in Lancashire, England.

Guy Thomas was appointed group managing director at Brookhouse Holdings, reporting to James Larwood. Thomas, 46, previously was Brookhouse’s group finance director.

Meantime, two veteran Kaman executives keep their posts: Salvatore Bordonaro as president of Kaman Helicopters; and Robert Kanaskie as president of Kaman Aerostructures.

The changes were effective on New Year’s’ Day and all report to Kaman Aerospace President Gregory L. Steiner.
