New Britain municipal-buildings architect Kaestle Boos Associates will design Naugatuck High School’s $81 million renovate-as-new project to start in late 2012.
Kaestle Boos said Monday it will be paid $3.05 million for its work.
The three-year renovation  includes expanding the cafeteria, gymnasium, a new front entrance,  updating all classrooms and common areas, new office space for the board of education and new athletic fields featuring synthetic turf and a new track.
Kaestle Boos’ other regional office is in Foxborough, Mass.
