The Connecticut Convention Center will transform into both a flower and garden showcase and dinosaur adventure park later this year with large events scheduled for February and March, organizers said.
The 42nd Connecticut Flower & Garden Show is set for February and Jurassic Quest, a family friendly event with hands-on entertainment, tours and rides is scheduled for March. Both events are annual exhibits at the Connecticut Convention Center, located at 100 Columbus Blvd., Hartford.
Jurassic Quest, scheduled from March 1 to March 3, gives families the opportunity to see photorealistic dinosaurs and real fossils, watch live shows and ride animatronic dinosaurs. The event showcases 165 million years of the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods for visitors to learn about the dinosaurs of those time periods.
Before then, though, the CT Convention Center will be decorated with colorful flowers during the Connecticut Flower & Garden Show, which is scheduled for Feb. 22 to Feb. 25.
This year’s event will feature more than 80 hours of expert seminars offering tips and tricks to home gardeners. Flower and garden displays will take up almost 2 acres of show space, organizers said, and hundreds of vendors will be on-hand selling their products.
Tickets for both upcoming convention center events are available online.
