Three Hartford area business leaders will be inducted in March into Junior Achievement’s Business Hall of Fame.
In addition, Junior Achievement will present Walmart Stores Inc., with its Corporate Award during the March 23 ceremony at The Hartford Club downtown.
The three are:
- Howard L. Baldwin, chairman, Whalers Sports and Entertainment, and founder of the former Hartford Whalers hockey team
- Christopher M. Dadlez, president and chief executive officer, St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center
- Christine C. Marcks, president, Prudential Retirement
Farmington Bank Chairman and CEO John J. Patrick Jr. is the event chair.
Louis J. Golden, president of Junior Achievement of Southwest New England, praised the trio for  embodying “passion for business and the dedication to the community that we want to instill in our students.”
The JA Business Hall of Fame was founded in 1980 to recognize individuals whose accomplishments in business and commitment to the community make them models of success to young people.
