Hartford Courant Editor Cliff Teutsch didn’t wait around long to see how the newspaper’s partnership with Fox 61 television was going to work out.
Teutsch resigned this week, along with Managing Editor Barbara Roessner, telling staff that he would not be able to work in sync with the paper’s new management. Plans are underway to move the Fox 61 newsroom into The Courant’s Broad Street building.
The Courant named online editor and former longtime features editor Naedine Hazell as the interim editor for the newroom, which has been reduced to a staff of 135, just more than half the number of people it had last year.
