JPMorgan Chase has received federal approval to open a new branch in New Britain.
The banking giant, with $3.8 trillion in assets, plans to open a full-service branch in the Hardware City at the intersection of Columbus Boulevard and Chestnut Street.
It recently received approval for the branch from the federal Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
JPMorgan Chase in recent months also announced or debuted new branches in Groton, East Hartford and Vernon, all part of a broader Greater Hartford and Connecticut expansion strategy.
