JPMorgan Chase opened its first branch in East Hartford this week, another part of the company’s statewide expansion that began several years ago.
Chase opened its new branch at 1065 Main St., East Hartford, which has self-service transaction areas including a digital access bar, smart ATMs and free WiFi, according to the company.
According to Chase, the bank serves almost 1 million customers in Connecticut. In 2019, it announced plans to open more than a dozen new branches in Connecticut, adding to its existing network of locations in Hartford, Wethersfield and Enfield.
More branches are already planned for Cheshire, Newington and Storrs, which will include hiring about 100 new employees as bankers, branch managers, business bankers and financial advisors.
