What do you do? I am a litigator, whose practice is focused on insurance-related disputes and general business litigation. The part of my job I enjoy the most is interacting with people and helping to craft solutions to their problems. I consider myself somewhat of a ham and therefore, am most comfortable in the courtroom.
What do you want to be doing in 10 years? I hope to be living a happy and fulfilled life. From a business perspective, I would like to be in a leadership role at my firm. Personally, I hope that I will have started a family. Overall, my goal is continue to develop as an attorney, businessman and community leader.
What is your biggest strength? My biggest strength is my passion for life and ability to maintain a positive outlook, even in the face of adversity. On occasion, these qualities can have a grating effect on those around me, but I have yet to encounter a situation where either quality did not serve me well in the end.
Where do you go for new ideas? I am fortunate to have a close circle of extremely bright and motivated friends who I turn to for new ideas. Also, I read constantly.
What is the best advice you received? My grandfather always preached the following, “Keep your head down, work hard and don’t worry about what the guy next to you is doing.” I have always found this to be sage advice.
What service or charitable cause has your attention? The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. My best friend’s father is afflicted with MS. He is one of the kindest, most gracious men I have ever known and his personality was not affected one iota by his illness. That, to me, is inspiring.
