Basketball legend Michael Jordan is shutting a Chicago restaurant he co-owns, action that doesn’t affect his other eateries, including three at Mohegan Sun casino, Crain’s Chicagobusiness.com reports.
One Sixtyblue, Jordan’s West Loop restaurant, will close after 15 years and be reopened as a new restaurant in late spring, Crain’s reports on its Web site. The contemporary American restaurant, which opened in 1997, will shut down after its final dinner service Saturday.
Cornerstone, with affiliate Jump Higher LLC, operates the basketball great’s restaurants, including Michael Jordan’s 23.sportcafe and Sol Toro Tequila Grill, both at Mohegan Sun; and Michael Jordan’s Steak Houses at Mohegan, and in Chicago and New York.
The company also oversees operations for Wave at the W Chicago Lakeshore hotel and Zylo Tuscan Steak House at the W Hoboken hotel in New Jersey.
