Insurance executive Patrick Mahon has been appointed chairman of the board of directors at Johnson Memorial Medical Center, which is now owned by Michigan-based Trinity Health.
When the Johnson Memorial became part of Trinity Health – New England on Jan. 1, a new board of directors was created, comprising 14 members. Mahon served as chairman of the previous board since 2013. He became a member of the hospital in 1992 and a trustee in 1995. In 2003, he was appointed to the executive board of trustees and was named vice chairman of the board of directors in 2010.
Mahon is a principal with Mullen & Mahon Inc., an insurance agency in Stafford Springs. He is a past-president and past-chairman of the board of the Independent Insurance Agents of Connecticut and serves as chairman of the State of Connecticut Insurance & Risk Management Board Claims Committee.
