Johnnie Walker, Captain Morgan parent earns Norwalk LEED

The parent company for famous alcohol brands like Guinness, Smirnoff, Crown Royal, Johnnie Walker, and Captain Morgan has received LEED Silver certification for its Norwalk office.

Diageo plc, which is headquartered in London, earn the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for the design, water efficiency, use of materials, and indoor environmental quality at its Norwalk office.

The Norwalk office also uses 100 percent renewable electricity to power its operations. It is the fourth Diaego facility in North America to earn LEED certification; the others are in Chicago, New York City, and the U.S. Virgin Island.

A global company that sells into more than 180 countries, Diageo’s other brands include J&B whiskey, Buchanan’s whiskey, Bushmill whisky, Windsor whisky, Ciroc vodka, Ketel One vodka, Tanqueray gin, Baileys, and Don Julio tequila.
