John Jepson is First Niagara’s CT veep

Former Farmington Bank senior commercial-loan officer John K. Jepson Jr. has been hired to oversee regional lender First Niagara Bank’s middle-market push into northern Connecticut and western Massachusetts.

Jepson will be vice president for commercial lending, overseeing clients with $2 million to $25 million in revenues, Buffalo-based First Niagara said Thursday.

A Hebron resident, he will work out of First Niagara’s offices at 923 Main St. in Manchester, and First Niagara’s Windsor office, at 2133 Poquonock Ave.

He reports to First Vice President Joseph Shaw, who manages the business banking teams in Greater Hartford-Manchester and western Massachusetts.

Jepson joins First Niagara from Farmington Bank, where worked since 2004, most recently as senior vice president/team leader in commercial lending.

He earned his B.S. in business administration from Boston University and received his MBA from the University of Hartford.
