The Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford has named Howard Sovronsky as president and CEO.
He has been serving in an interim role since July, when former federation leader Cathrine Fischer Schwartz left for a vice president position at a Florida foundation.
Sovronsky was chief operating officer of Community Health Resources in Windsor until 2012.
He previously served as commissioner of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities for Nassau County, New York, and later worked for Nassau Health Care Corp.
