Jeff Rawson, president of Rawson Materials, began volunteering with The Arc of Quinebaug Valley, a nonprofit human services agency in northeastern Connecticut, 13 years ago when he donated one of his firm’s pay-loaders to ceremoniously dump more than 7,000 little rubber ducks into the Quinebaug River for the Arc’s annual race day fund raiser.
As his involvement grew over the years, he volunteered on several committees for Arc. He has served as the board’s vice president, as the chairman of the organization’s annual golf tournament for three consecutive years and he has led the way for others to follow by becoming Arc’s first platinum-level sponsor through his generous financial contributions.
