Hartford health insurer Aetna Inc. named former Colonial Life marketing exec Jeff Brown to run its voluntary plans division.
That makes Brown responsible for product strategy, pricing and positioning, and overall operations for the business line, Aetna said Wednesday.
Voluntary plans provide supplemental benefits, such as critical illness or accident plans, that can be paid for through payroll deductions.
Brown joins Aetna from Colonial Life, where he was chief marketing officer.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and an MBA from Cornell University.
