IsoPlexis appoints new board member

IsoPlexis, a Branford-based life science technology company focused on proteomics, recently appointed Siddhartha Kadia to serve on its board of directors.

Kadia has 20 years of experience in technology, life science and healthcare industries, including leadership roles at Life Technologies and EAG Laboratories.

Sean Mackay, CEO and co-founder of IsoPlexis, called Kadia a “significant addition.”

“As we expand globally, his industry and academic networks and international experience in key global markets will be invaluable to our growing company,” Mackay said.

Kadia said he is looking forward to helping IsoPlexis deliver on its long-term strategies.

Chemistry company recruits new talent

P2 Science Inc., a Woodbridge-based green chemistry company, has hired Adalberto Fleitas, who will lead the company’s applications group focused on cosmetics and personal care ingredients.

Fleitas’ background is in the fields of cosmetics, personal care and fragrances. He comes to P2 from Cosmax, where he was a senior cosmetics chemist. Fleitas’ prior experience includes stints at Estee Lauder, RB and Givaudan.

P2 CEO Neil Burns said the hire will “supercharge” the company’s applications team.

“(It) is already doing an outstanding job supporting our innovative range of green cosmetics ingredients and aroma chemicals,” Burns said. “He has the skills, experience and attitude to help us develop a truly state-of-the-art applications capability for our global customer base.”
