Regional electric grid administrator ISO New England has launched a mobile application for smartphones to display grid conditions, real-time prices, and conservation efforts.
The iPhone and Android app allows anyone to see what fuels are being used to generate electricity, learn more about the power system, and track grid conditions and wholesale prices.
The idea behind the ISO to Go app is to give grid information to a wider audience with easier accessibility.
ISO launched the idea after a visit from Babson College graduate students, who pointed out the needed for user-friendly access to ISO’s information.
