One of the board members for the regional organization predicting New England electricity demand and setting prices has resigned to take a position with a market participant.
Richard E. Kessel announced his resignation from the ISO New England Inc. Board of Directors this morning.
ISO would not release the name of the company Kessel has joined, pending an announcement from that company.
ISO New England sets the wholesale price regional electricity providers are paid each day to generate power for the grid. No board member is allowed to work for one of these companies, as part of ISO’s code of conduct.
Kessel served as chairman of ISO Compensation and Human Resources Committee and the System Planning and Reliability Committee.
