Regional fueling station Irving Oil opened a location on Broad Street in Meriden last week, the brand’s first station in the community.
“We have always admired the Irving brand,” said Omar Hamideh, owner of the Meriden station, in a statement. “We knew that if we ever opened our own convenience store we wanted to hang the Irving flag. After months of construction and a lot of hard work, we are excited to be open and ready to serve the community.”
Founded in 1924 and based in Canada, Iriving Oil has more than 800 locations throughout the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic. The Meriden location will offer a full deli and groceries in addition to the fueling options.
“Irving is always looking to partner with businesses that share our values for excellent customer service and a great fueling experience. We are confident that the Hamideh family will provide exactly that,” said Harry Hadiaris, general manager of Irving Oil Marketing, in a statement. “We’re very pleased to continue to expand the Irving name in Connecticut.”
