IRS has $1M in undeliverable Conn. refund checks

More than 1,000 Connecticut tax payer refund checks, amounting to nearly $1 million were returned undeliverable to the IRS. Taxpayers can update their addresses with the IRS using the Where’s My Refund? tool on IRS.gov, then claim their money. The list of taxpayers due undeliverable refunds in Connecticut this year rose by 24 percent from last year. The increase is due in part to the Telephone Excise Tax Refund, which businesses, individuals and tax-exempt organizations are eligible to request.
