A group of investors has bought a Comfort Inn in Danbury for $12.7 million, according to the city’s assessor’s office.
Stark Hospitality LLC has bought the 112-room, five story hotel, at 80 Newtown Road. The company is controlled by Kishan Patel of Norwich; Nilesh, Ashish, Shyam, Tulsi and Rup Patel, of New York; and Mitall Patel, of New Jersey, state records show.
The seller was Danbury Real Estate LLC, controlled by Suhas Patel, of Illinois, and Shashank Shekhar, of New Jersey. They originally purchased the 68,985-square-foot hotel property for $8 million in August 2023.
The hotel, which was built in 1972 and sits on 3.3 acres, is appraised at $7.27 million and assessed at $3.54 million, according to property records.
