A group of investors has bought a one-story retail property in Danbury, according to property records, and plans to open a laundromat at the site.
Danbury Laundry Properties LLC has bought the 5,615-square-foot building at 68 Newtown Road. The company is controlled by Chirag and Madhusudan Talati, of Danbury: George Taweh, of Farmington; Mayur Patel, of Florida; Sohil Patel, of Middletown; Pratik Patel, of Bethel; and Jigar and Khushbu Bhavsar, of Danbury.
Chirag Talati said he plans to open up a Love in Every Fold laundromat in the building in the spring. He owns six Super Saver laundromats across the state that he plans to eventually bring under the name Love in Every Fold.
“I grew up in Danbury, so I think it would be awesome to reinvest in the town I grew up in,” he said.
The seller is Newtown Road Properties Inc., of Glastonbury, which has gone into forfeiture, according to state records. It bought the property in 1993.
The building, which was built in 1975, is appraised at $1.16 million and assessed at $808,570.
