An investor has purchased a mixed-use retail and apartment building in Stamford for $1.1 million, according to city land records.
Odisseas Mirianthopoulos, of Stamford, acquired the 3,546-square-foot property at 543 Newfield Ave. He declined to comment on the transaction.
The seller was Newfield 543 LLC, controlled by Suzanne Malloy Zaleski, also of Stamford. She purchased the two-story building, which includes a partially below-grade lower level, in 2007.
The property features retail space on the first floor and lower level, along with two apartments on the second floor, said Cody Nizzardo, broker and owner of Stamford-based Nizzardo Real Estate Services.
“This was a very clean, all-cash transaction with limited due diligence, which speaks well to the continued demand for well-located mixed-use assets in Stamford,” Nazzardo said. “Properties like this — where you have flexibility between residential and commercial use — are attracting both investors and owner-users looking for long-term value,” he said.
The building, constructed in 1925, sits on a 0.19-acre parcel. It was appraised at $949,580 and assessed at $664,710 in 2024.
