Investor buys Savin Rock Plaza in West Haven

An investor has purchased the Savin Rock Plaza at 200-250 Captain Thomas Blvd. in West Haven for $3 million. 

The property includes approximately 62,722 square feet of retail space. The shopping center has a mix of local and national retailers, and is adjacent to the Savin Rock boardwalk along West Haven’s public beach, a popular tourist destination.

Phil Marshall of O,R&L Commercial represented the buyer, DeLaurentis Management Corporation. The seller was 200 Captain Realty LLC, which had purchased the property in 2014 for $3.7 million, city records show.

DeLaurentis is based in White Plains, New York, and manages residential and commercial properties in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, according to its website.

It manages multiple shopping plazas in Connecticut, such as the South Shore Plaza in East Haven and Lakeview Center in Branford. 

The new owner plans substantial renovations and upgrades to the West Haven property, according to an announcement.

The plaza is currently home to various tenants, such as a People’s United Bank and La Catrina Restaurant.
