An investor has purchased a three-story office building in Darien for $2.43 million and is seeking town approval to convert part of the property into housing.
Achievement Fund Inc., controlled by Michael Ma of Greenwich, bought the 7,803-square-foot building at 76 Tokeneke Road, according to property records. Ma is a director at Achievement Fund, which provides college-counseling services and SAT and other college-entrance exam preparation, the organization’s website says.
Ma and Ying Lang, also of Greenwich, doing business as Xanadu Capital LLC, have applied for a zoning change that would allow construction of three apartments on the building’s second floor, according to filings with the town.
Ma did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
The seller was Darien Land Management LLC, controlled by Juan Fucando Santucci of New York and Albert Winslow of Fairfield.
The building, constructed in 2007 on a 0.43-acre parcel, is appraised at $2.32 million and assessed at $1.63 million, records show.
