Investor acquires 32-unit New Haven apartment building near Yale for $5.2M

A century-old New Haven apartment building has sold  to a local real estate investor for $5.2 million.

In a deed recorded April 10, a limited liability company headed by New Haven attorney and investor Albert Annunziata purchased the Embassy Apartments, a 32-unit building at 102 Dwight St.

The 24,478-square-foot, Italianate-style building was completed in 1900 on just over four-tenths of an acre. The three-story building contains 26 one-bedroom and six two-bedroom apartments and is located within walking distance of Yale University and Yale New Haven Hospital.

The seller was a West Haven-based limited liability company whose principal is Lynne Schpero.

The property was listed by Bradley Balletto and Jeff Wright of Northeast Private Client Group. Marketing materials noted the building has historically catered to Yale students.

The purchasing LLC secured a $4.65 million loan from DR Bank, backed by a mortgage on the property.
