Connecticut businesses with fewer than 20 workers increased the size of their respective workforces by 0.2 percent in December, said financial software and payroll services provider Intuit.
That put Connecticut in the top 12 states in the country for the month, according to Intuit.
The company’s small business index uses data from 251,000 small business customers. Companies with between one and 19 workers comprise 87 percent of U.S. companies, and 18 percent of U.S. employment, Intuit said.
