Hartford-based insurance software and analytics provider Insurity said it has acquired a Florida competitor that specializes in software tailored for agents who underwrite contracts on behalf of insurers.
Financial terms of Insurity’s purchase of Epic-Premier Insurance Solutions were not disclosed.
It’s the second transaction of the year for Insurity, which in January closed on its acquisition of a Michigan provider of geospatial analytics services for property-casualty insurers.
Insurity said Epic-Premier will strengthen its position in the managing general agent (MGA) market.
“Epic-Premier is a standout addition to Insurity’s already expansive suite of digital core system solutions, bringing capabilities specifically designed to support MGAs and adding substantial breadth and depth of market experience to our team,” Insurity CEO Chris Lafond said in a statement. “Together with our cloud expertise and wealth of data assets, we have greatly expanded our solution offerings for MGAs and are well-positioned for leadership of this market.”
Insurity was acquired by California private investment firm GL Partners in 2019 for an undisclosed price.Â
