Insurity acquires Canadian software firm

Hartford-based insurance IT provider Insurity said it has acquired a Montreal, Quebec insurance software maker.

Insurity did not disclose the purchase price for Oceanwide Inc., which will continue to operate under its brand name.

Oceanwide makes a suite of cloud-based software called Bridge that property-casualty insurers, brokers and agents use to service clients, underwrite products and perform back-office functions.

Insurity makes a processing and data platform called Insurance Enterprise View.
