Connecticut’s health insurance exchange, Access Health CT, has opened in New Britain what it says is the country’s first Obamacare enrollment center.
The exchange, which in October enrolled more than 7.600 residents in insurance plans solely through its website and call centers, said it modeled the enrollment center after an Apple retail store.
Exchange officials said they chose the location at 200 Main St. because New Britain because of its high percentage of unemployed residents.
The state may open exchanges in other underinsured communities.
