The Insurance Department said it has trimmed the premium increase Oxford Health Plans had requested for its small-group health plans.
Regulators approved a 9 percent increase on Monday. Oxford had asked for a 10.2 percent increase for 2015, citing rising medical costs and increased demand for medical services.
The plans cover approximately 13,000 workers at Connecticut companies with 50 or fewer employees. They are not offered on the state’s exchange, Access Health CT.
