The state Insurance Department said it has renewed its contract with a Maryland-based company that administers licensing and continuing-education exams to brokers, adjusters and others.
The renewal of the contract with Prometric is for three years, following a five-year contract signed in 2009.
The value of the contract will be based on the number of exams the company administers, according to Donna M. Tommelleo, a department spokeswoman.
Last year, Prometric administered more than 6,050 tests, Tommelleo said. The fees the company receives for each test range from $10 to $39.
