A New York supplier of infrastructure and construction fasteners has bought the site of a former printing plant in Trumbull for $6.4 million, according to a real estate brokerage firm representing the buyer.
BACO Enterprises, which has made construction fasteners for bridges and tunnels, anchor bolts, threaded rods and miscellaneous steel parts for more than 40 years, purchased the former Trumbull Printing Company property, at 205 Spring Hill Road, said Westport-based Vidal/Wettenstein.
David Cohen, a principal with New York City-based BACO Enterprises, declined to comment on the deal.
Trumbull Printing Company – a subsidiary of Hersam Acorn Newspapers – in 2022 sold the 57,000-square-foot building to Glen Park Capital Partners LLC, an affiliate of Shelbourne Global Solutions LLC. It leased the plant, which printed newspapers and other publications for publishers from Boston to Philadelphia, back from Glen Park before reportedly closing in 2024.
The building, which was built in 1969, was appraised at $3 million and assessed at $2.1 million in 2024.
