Infinity Music Hall sold to Fairfield entertainment company

Infinity Music Hall, which opened its downtown Hartford venue to much fanfare in 2014, is getting new ownership.

Fairfield-based GoodWorks Entertainment Group, a full-service live-entertainment company, announced Thursday it has acquired Infinity Music Hall’s Hartford and Norfolk locations.

GoodWorks said it has been the exclusive talent buyer for Fairfield Theatre Company for more than a decade. It is also a preferred promoter and talent-buyer for 10 regional venues, it said.

The new ownership will rebrand both venues as GoodWorks Infinity.

“We intend to grow the concert schedule by capitalizing on our buying power in the regional marketplace,” said Tyler Grill, the CEO and co-founder of GoodWorks Entertainment. “Not only will there be more blockbuster standing room only shows, we also will be providing lots of opportunities for developing local bands.”

David Rosenfeld, GoodWorks Entertainment co-founder, said his company’s business model “is based on community building and giving back.”

“We will be partnering with the community to enhance cultural growth by hosting an ongoing series of events called ‘Concerts for Good’ to benefit local charities,” he said.

In 2018, 10 “Concerts for Good” events raised more than $60,000 for local charities in Fairfield County, he added.

Dan Hincks was the founder of Infinity Hall in Norfolk and Hartford. He opened the first location a decade ago, then added the Hartford venue in the city’s downtown Front Street Entertainment district in 2014.

“I could not be happier that the special music venues we have built will be managed by a growing Connecticut-based entertainment company with a long track-record of success that is also socially conscious and community-minded,” Hincks said.  “I fully expect that GoodWorks Infinity will take what we’ve established to the next level.”
