Five Iron Golf, the indoor golf and entertainment company, says it has signed a lease to open a new location at The Winston, a mixed-use development in New Haven.
The announcement comes just a month after franchise partner Ironwood Ventures opened its first Connecticut location in Norwalk.
The venues host golf simulators that allow customers to virtually play more than 400 golf courses and include swing-capture technology used for instruction and practice. They also offer golf lessons, leagues, junior clinics and club-fitting services.
The New Haven location is expected to open in the first half of 2027 at 301 Winchester Avenue, where Winchester Partners has just opened a 283-unit mixed-income apartment building in the city’s Science Park, along with more than 12,800 square feet of retail space.
The development is part of the larger revitalization of the former Winchester Repeating Arms Company factory complex.
Five Iron Golf says it plans a 10,915-square-foot venue featuring 12 Trackman golf simulators, a full-service kitchen and bar, Dartsee, shuffleboard and additional social games.
Five Iron, which has more than 40 locations across 20 states and seven countries, is backed by North Castle Partners, Callaway Golf and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments.
