In annual tradition, Malloy suspends Memorial Day construction

Worry not, Memorial Day travelers.

Gov. Dannel Malloy has suspended all regular construction-related activity on state roads and highways starting Friday at 6 a.m. and ending Tuesday at 6 a.m., his office said Thursday.

The Department of Transportation is in the midst of its construction season, which runs through November. DOT expects to resurface 255 two-lane miles of state roads this year.
