Waterbury workforce developer Industrial Management & Training Institute graduated 11 students from its solar technician program.
IMTI is one of the first Connecticut institutions to offer certification programs for the solar electric industry. The organization graduated its first class in July and its second class in December.
Each students must take 292 hours of solar and installation training to graduate the IMTI program.
The December graduates are Ernest Jesse of Waterbury, Gregory Sommerville of Wolcott, Louis Bensavage of Watertown, Chaz Butler of Waterbury, Nicholas Farina of Prospect, Lonnie Jackson of Waterbury, Ramon Perez of Waterbury, Cornel Sampson of Winsted, Matthew Sheehan of Oakville, Quentin Thompson of Waterbury, and John Zegley of New Fairfield.
