Illinois collision-repair chain pays $2.25M for Gengras service site in East Hartford

Illinois-based collision repair chain Crash Champions recently paid $2.25 million for the Gengras Collision Center property on Tolland Street in East Hartford.

Gengras Realty LLC sold the 14,000-square-foot service center on 2.1 acres at 630 Tolland St., to My Property Holdings LLC in a deed recorded by East Hartford on Jan. 17. The center was built in 1988, according to assessing records.

The buying LLC shares a Westmont, Illinois address with Crash Champions’ corporate headquarters.

Crash Champions purchased the real estate and the business. Terms of the business sale weren’t disclosed. This deal gives the repair chain a second Connecticut location. Crash Champions operates in 36 states and Washington, D.C., according to a Crash Champions release concerning the East Hartford purchase.
