Connecticut is offering to foot $2.25 million to relocate an Illinois bioscience firm’s R&D and other East Coast operations to Branford, authorities say.
If the state fulfills its funding pledge, Durata Therapeutics Inc., of Chicago, will move its research and development, clinical, and regulatory operations from New Jersey, creating 80 new full-time jobs in the process, the governor’s office said Thursday.
Durata is a clinical stage company developing treatments for infectious skin diseases.
The State Bond Commission is expected to approve the funding at its Oct. 3 meeting.
