Rocky Hill-based IGX and its affiliated businesses have been acquired by ePlus Technology Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.
IGX provides data and system security offerings, networking products, and related professional services to domestic and international customers including commercial, enterprise, and state, local, and education organizations. It has offices in metro New York, metro Boston, and London to serve its UK and global customers.
Phillip G. Norton, chairman, CEO, and president of ePlus, said in a statement his firm acquired IGX to expand its footprint in Connecticut and broaden its customer base in New York and Boston. It also plans to market its services to IGX’s existing customer base. He also said the acquisition of the UK-based subsidiary, IGX Global, will also advance its strategy to better support US-based global customers internationally. IGX Global has customers in more than 15 countries.
IGX had net sales in excess of $51 million for the trailing 12 months ending Aug. 31, 2015. Childs Advisory Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to IGX in this transaction.
