Hartford insurance group IFG Cos. has hired Michael G. Vought as president of its excess and umbrella business.
Vought will oversee a network of IFG offices around the country. He worked for the past eight years for Markel Corp., where he was managing director and product line leader for excess, umbrella and primary brokerage casualty.
He previously worked for St. Paul Travelers. Vought will be based in New York.
