Iconic Hartford attractions announce reopening dates

Two major Hartford cultural institutions have announced reopening dates in April after yearlong shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, at 77 Forest St., said it would be offering tours again of the abolitionist and author’s home starting on April 8.

New evening hours, online ticketing and pandemic precautions will mark the reopening.

The adjacent Mark Twain House & Museum at 385 Farmington Ave. is slated to open on Saturday, April 10, according to a notice on the Stowe Center website.
