Avon-based iCleanse – which makes docking stations that charge and disinfect electronics like phones and tablets – has announced a new deal with the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford, where it will deploy its technology.
ICleanse said it will deploy seven units of its Swift UV docking stations to the Connecticut Science Center, which will provide patrons free phone disinfection. It will also allow for the display of timely messages or advertisements as the Swift UV also is a media tool with the capability of selling ads., the company said.
According to its website, iCleanse products are currently used in more than 100 hospitals and retail locations throughout the country.
ICleanse is owned by entrepreneur Chris Allen, who was the founder of Avon-based smart home technology company iDevices. Allen purchased iCleanse in 2021, seeing an opportunity to grow its customer base, particularly amid the pandemic.
