Hyperfine Inc., the Guilford-based creator of an FDA-approved portable magnetic resonance imaging device called Swoop, has appointed Kyla Pavlina to serve as its chief people officer.
President and CEO Dave Scott said the company is continuing to expand its team to reach more patients and ramp up its commercial growth.
“Kyla’s specialized background, experience building strategic global talent pipelines and record of accomplishment in creating effective cultures make her a tremendous asset to Hyperfine as we continue our rapid hiring plans,” Scott said.
Prior to Hyperfine, Pavlina served as the chief people officer at Mesa Biotech, Inc. (now Thermo Fisher Scientific), where she supervised a 1200% talent growth initiative over nine months.

Mohegan names new online marketing VP
Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment recently appointed Christie St. Martin as its new vice president, online marketing.

In this role, St. Martin will lead the company’s iGaming marketing strategy and help direct its growing marketing team.
Ray Pineault, Mohegan’s president and CEO, said he is confident St. Martin’s background in the digital gaming industry will positively impact Mohegan’s digital expansion efforts and brand development.
St. Martin will work to attract more guests, manage products, and lead marketing operations for digital gaming products. She previously had a leadership role at Queens.gg, a female-led gaming lifestyle company that provides female competitors, content creators, and streamers with the tools they need to build sustainable careers in gaming and esports.
