East Hartford’s Sustainable Innovations said it has completed its acquisition of H2Pump LLC, which it describes as its only competitor.
Sustainable Innovations said its purchase of the Latham, N.Y., company will speed its efforts to introduce a product to the market.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Sustainable’s hydrogen capture systems are based on a high-pressure electrochemical module developed by CEO Trent Molter, who said last year that his company’s first product is slated to hit the market in 2016.

H2Pump, founded in 2005, generated its first commercial revenue last year, according to Albany Business Review.
