Trinity Investments, a private real estate investment firm specializing in hotels and hospitality, has sold a majority interest in the Hyatt Regency Greenwich hotel to an affiliate of Certares Real Estate Management.
Trinity acquired Hyatt Regency Greenwich from Hyatt in October 2022, and has since completed a $35 million renovation.
The hotel stands at 1800 E Putnam Ave., in Old Greenwich. It has 374 guest rooms and 35,000 square feet of event space.
Under Trinity’s ownership, the hotel also introduced Townsend Cinema, a new 40-seat movie theater developed in partnership with Monoplex.
“Through a targeted renovation, we’ve created a distinctive hospitality experience that speaks to the expectations of today’s traveler. Partnering with Certares allows us to build on that momentum and drive continued growth,” said Sean Hehir, managing partner and CEO of Trinity.
The deal marks a second collaboration between Trinity and Certares, who partnered in 2021 to purchase the EAST Miami hotel.
Trinity Investments is based in Honolulu, Hawaii, with offices in Los Angeles, Miami and London.
Since launching its real estate platform in early 2021, Certares has acquired 16 hotels. Hyatt Regency Greenwich is the platform’s second investment in 2025, following the acquisition of the Hilton New Orleans St. Charles Ave.
