HUSKIES HELPING OTHERS

The University of Connecticut women’s basketball team delivered more than 100 gifts to support the Village for Families & Children Inc. and its Holiday Giving Tree Program. Every year the Village works with area businesses, corporations, organizations, schools and individuals on this holiday season gift-giving program designed to grant the wishes of children enrolled in Village programs. Last December, UConn’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee held a toy drive at a pair of men’s and women’s basketball games. Village President and CEO Galo Rodriguez holds a ball surrounded by players.
